PRESIDENT | 1978 - 1979

I have a continuing pulsating belief in the protection of the public - as it relates to nursing - that is the sole purpose for the existence of a board of nursing. May we have created the council truly for just that.”

PRESIDENT | 1982 - 1984

I always felt that the organization should be a broadly based as possible in terms of function, and we should not put all our eggs in one basket - the exam basket." “In retrospect, the $1.8 million budget for FY83...would have been only a dream in the minds of the Council's organizers in 1978, the year we functioned on donations.”

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR | 1979 - 1988

An important part of that future are the relationships the National Council develops with other organizations. As the world grows closer together with every technological advance in communications, the relationships we can have with like organizations in other countries are the most intriguing and, as yet, least defined possibilities.”
